Corporate relocation to the Sacramento region
Where to live around Sacramento’s job centers
The short answer: Start with where you will work and how you want to live, then match the neighborhood. Downtown and midtown jobs pair with Midtown, East Sacramento and Land Park, Davis jobs with Davis, and jobs in Placer or El Dorado counties with Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Folsom or El Dorado Hills. Test the drive at your real commute hour.
Downtown and Midtown jobs
Midtown, East Sacramento, Land Park and Curtis Park put you close to downtown offices. The middle half of single-family sales ran from $625,000 to $906,000 in Midtown, $670,000 to $910,000 in East Sacramento, and $642,500 to $998,000 in Land Park and Curtis Park.
Davis
In Davis, the middle half of single-family sales ran from $746,561 to $1,122,000.
Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln
In Roseville the middle half ran from $560,000 to $770,000, in Rocklin from $616,250 to $861,656, and in Lincoln from $541,630 to $759,000.
Folsom and El Dorado Hills
In Folsom the middle half ran from $649,000 to $934,000, and in El Dorado Hills from $750,000 to $1,250,000.
Elk Grove and Natomas
In Elk Grove the middle half ran from $559,209 to $719,000, and in Natomas from $469,000 to $605,000.
A note on the numbers
These are the middle half of single-family sales from MetroList, closed October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026. Prices can change a lot from one street to the next, and past sales do not predict what any home will sell for. Drive your commute at the hour you would really be on the road before you decide.

Questions people ask
What is the best Sacramento neighborhood if I work downtown?
Midtown, East Sacramento, Land Park and Curtis Park put you close. The best fit also depends on how you live, so I start with that.
Is it cheaper to live in Roseville or Rocklin than in East Sacramento?
In the sales I reviewed, the middle half in Roseville and Rocklin ran lower than in East Sacramento, but homes differ in size and age, so compare the homes and not just the averages.
